William Mcgill Obituary, Death – William W. McGill, age 72, formerly of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 10, 2023 in the St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire, with his devoted wife by his side. He was a resident of Nashua, New Hampshire. He was the son of Joseph C. McGill Jr., who passed away, and Naomi Blair McGill, who was born on November 10, 1950 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania. Bill earned his high school diploma from Laurel Highlands, and then continued his education at Penn State University, earning a degree in Business Logistics.
Before he retired after more than thirty years in the position, he served as Merchandising Manager for the JCPenney Company. Bill had an eight handicap in golf and also enjoyed hang gliding, water skiing, snow skiing, sailing, and fishing among other outdoor activities. Marsha Burke McGill, Bill’s wife of forty-seven years and the retired principal of the James Mastricola Upper Elementary School in Merrimack, New Hampshire, is among those who will miss him. He is also survived by his brother Blair McGill and his wife Kathy, who live in Morgantown, West Virginia; his in-laws, Mark and Karen Burke Bartlett of Naples, Florida; Jay and Diane Burke Russell of Haw River,
North Carolina; and Raymond and Renee Burke of Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Also, Bill leaves behind nine nieces and nephews in addition to eleven great-nieces and nephews. ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., located at 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pennsylvania 15401, has been entrusted with the responsibility of making arrangements. The funeral home will be open to visitors on Friday, March 17 from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM. On Saturday, a memorial service honoring Bill’s life will be held in the privacy of his family, and Pastor Dan Guittap will preside over the event. After the funeral, the interment will take place in the Cochran Cemetery in Dawson, Pennsylvania.
