Timothy Clemmer Bateman Obituary, Death – On Tuesday, July 7, 2021, Wendell Timothy Bateman Jr., age 53, a resident of Griffin, Georgia, passed away at his home. He was there when it happened. Tim was brought into the world on the 17th of June in the year 1968 in the city of Griffin, Georgia. Before he was even born, both of his parents—his father, Wendell Timothy Bateman Sr., and his mother, Sandra Elaine Simmons Bateman—had already passed away. In addition to his previous job as a driver for Rock-it Sand and Gravel, Tim gave back to his community by serving as a volunteer firefighter for the organization.

Survivors include, his wife, Misty S. Bateman; children; Adam Howell (Kim), Brandy Johnson (Chris), Dustin Howell (Sharon), Shane Howell (Daphne), Holly Stansell (Michael), Jake Bateman (Katie), Brandon Duerr (Brittany), Mason Duerr; mother-in-law, Polly Sturgill after Tim’s mom passed, she stepped in to be his second Mama; 15 grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends.

On the evening of Thursday, July 8, 2021, the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home will be open for visitation beginning at 6:00 pm and continuing until 8:00 pm. The service will be held for the deceased. On Friday, July 9, 2021, at 2:00 pm, there will be a funeral service held in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The service will be held in memory of the deceased. The funeral and subsequent interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
