Sylvia Harper Obituary, Death – After a lengthy struggle against her illness, Frankie Sylvia Harper, who was 87 years old at the time of her passing, passed away on March 11, 2023 in Richmond, Virginia. At the time of her passing, she was attended to by her loved ones on both sides. She is survived by her husband of almost 68 years, Ernest E. Harper Jr.; her three children, Cheryl Harper, Michael Harper, and Jackie Gregg (Scott); her two grandchildren, Lindsey Buck (Jonathan), and Evan Gregg; and her three sisters, Patsy Swingle (Bill), June Luck (Gil), and Judy Pugh.
Her husband of almost 68 years, Ernest E. Harper Jr., is also among those who survive her. The memorial service for her will take place on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Frankie was raised in the city of Ashland, Virginia, where she was both born and raised. After getting married, she uprooted her life and moved to Richmond. Prior to taking early retirement, Frankie had a fruitful career at C&P Telephone Company (Verizon), where she worked in business sales and customer service. During her time at that institution, she achieved a great deal of success in both of these areas.
A significant portion of Frankie’s life was spent at the Park View Baptist Church, which he attended regularly. She left a significant mark on the lives of many people and will be greatly missed by all of them. A memorial service will be held at the graveside on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 10 o’clock in the morning at Westhampton Memorial Park, which can be found at 10000 Patterson Avenue.
