Steve Howard Obituary, Death – Steve Howard, who was 75 years old and a resident of Dawsonville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in his home, surrounded by his devoted family. Steve was born on the 19th of December in 1947, and he has been a resident of Dawson County for more than four decades. He was a Gainesville native from birth and attended East Hall High School until his graduation in 1966.
After graduating from high school, Steve purchased and managed Howard’s Gulf Service Station in the heart of Gainesville. He did so until the early 1970s, when he started working for the Hall County Sheriff’s Department. Before joining the Georgia Department of Prisons, Internal Affairs, and the Department of Juvenile Justice, where he worked until his retirement, he was a law enforcement officer in Hall County. Steve had a career in police enforcement that spanned 44 years.
In addition to being a loyal and loving spouse, father, and grandpa, he was a lifelong supporter of Georgia Tech and most treasured the time he got to spend with his family and friends. Steve was the kind of person who would grin and say hello to anybody he saw, and he will be sorely missed by everyone who ever crossed his path.
