Shannon Mccarthy – Shannon Marie McCarthy-Logan, who had been born in Santa Fe on March 31, 1968, passed away on January 6, 2022 due to cancer. Her birthday had been March 31. She was surrounded by her family as she passed away, and she was holding tightly onto the hand of her husband, Mike. Shannon leaves behind a sizable extended family who loved and cared for her throughout her life.
The surviving members of Shannon’s family include her husband Kenneth Michael Logan, her daughter McKenzie Ann Logan, and both of her parents, John (Jack) F. Both Logan and Patricia A. Logan were involved. McCarthy, Jr. and Kathleen J. McCarthy, her sisters Anna M. Rivera, Kelli J. Cassidy (Billy), and Joan D. Snow (Roger), as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. McCarthy, Jr. and Kathleen J. McCarthy also survive her, along with her children McCarthy, Jr. and Kathleen J. McCarthy. Her parents’ names are McCarthy, Jr. McCarthy and Kathleen J. McCarthy.
Shannon received her primary education at Gonzales Elementary, her secondary school at St. Michaels, and her undergraduate degree in education all from the University of New Mexico. All three of these institutions are located in the state of New Mexico. Because Shannon was always looking for new methods to better her teaching talents, she decided to acquire a master’s degree in primary education with an emphasis in multi-cultural studies. She was successful in achieving this goal.
Because acquiring a doctoral degree would necessitate Shannon’s leaving her current position as a teacher, she came to the realization that she did not want to do so at this time in her life. Shannon, who was never content with her level of education and who was always striving to become a better person, made the decision to pursue and earn a degree in paralegal studies, despite the fact that she never intended to work in that field. She did this because she was never satisfied with her level of education and because she was always striving to become a better person.
In the year 1991, Shannon moved to the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico, to begin her career as a schoolteacher. After that, in 1998, she relocated to Littleton, Colorado, and she plans to continue living there up until the year 2020. She spent her final years working as a Reading Interventionist, with the intention of enhancing the basic literacy skills of each and every child.
Shannon’s first romantic involvement with Mike, who would eventually go on to become her husband, dates back to March of 1989; the couple tied the knot on July 11, 1992. As she gave birth to McKenzie on April 12, 1999, she was finally able to realize her lifelong ambition of becoming a mother and live out her dream of becoming a parent. McKenzie is a fourth-year student at the University of Colorado in Boulder, and she is currently in her final year.
Although though Shannon and Mike worked a lot of hours, the time they spent with their family and the time they spent together was the most important thing in their lives. They made sure to savor every second of raising McKenzie, including the time they spent at the family cabin, on camping trips, and during summer vacations both in the United States and abroad. One of the most memorable experiences was when she traveled to Ireland to participate in a family reunion with forty members of her extended family. This event served as a metaphor for the connected family life that she led.
Everyone who had had the privilege of knowing Shannon will mourn the loss of her radiant smile and welcoming embrace when she passes away. Her pupils are the ones who are going to be most affected by her departure from teaching.
