Robert Streblow Obituary, Death – Robert J. “Curly” Streblow, who resided in Fond du Lac and was 95 years old, passed away on March 26th, 2023. On November 20th, 1927, he was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, to parents named John and Minnie (Priepke) Streblow. On April 30th, 1949, Curly exchanged vows with Margaret “Peggy” Kaschner. She passed away on September 8, 1995, one day before he did. Curly tied the knot with Joyce Kiefer on March 6th, 1998. Curly was a member of the United States Air Force.
He had a successful agricultural career as well as various employment throughout his life, including one at Galloway West that he held until his retirement. Curly loved going on drives to inspect the crops and paying his neighbors and other friends and acquaintances a visit along the route. Surviving members of his family include his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Diane “Murphy” (Ralph) Thurk and Nancy (Lester) Schingen;
Also, four grandsons, Jonathan Thurk (fiancée Amanda and her son, Duelly), Scott Thurk, Robert Schingen, and Jason Schingen (Amy Witz); and two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Olivia. He is also survived by his two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Olivia. In addition, he is survived by a sister, Mary Lou Fox, as well as a large number of nieces and nephews. His stepsons, Allan Kiefer, Brian Kiefer and Mary Kiefer, and their son, Alex, as well as Jeffrey Kiefer and Debbie Kiefer.
In addition to his parents and first wife, Peggy, Curly was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Streblow; seven siblings, Glenn (Beatrice) Streblow, Bernice (Roland) Weber, Gertrude (William) Huber, Kenneth (Loraine) Streblow, Delores (Norman) Pfeiffer, John Streblow, Jr., and Marian (Leonard) Jordanski; and two brothers-in-law, Earl Wilke, and Robert Fox. There will be no services because that was Curly’s wish. The cremation process has been completed.
In Estabrook’s Cemetery in Fond du Lac, there will be a private burial service for the deceased. The family would like to express their gratitude to SSM Health at Home Hospice for all of the assistance and care that they have provided for Curly and his family.
