Rickey Stokes Death, Obituary – On October 9, 1956, Rickey Oliver Stokes, Sr. made his debut into the world in Wilmington, Delaware. Before their son was born, both of his parents, Olen Sr. and Isabelle Riley Stokes, had passed away. He was their only child. Rickey departed this world and passed away on July 7, 2020, a Tuesday, and never returned. Beginning with his elementary education, Rickey received his formal education at one of the public schools in Wilmington, Delaware.

Rickey proudly served his nation in the Army from the moment he enlisted in the service at the age of 17 until the year 1977, when he was honorably discharged. Both Amazon and Berger Brothers had some use for him; at Amazon, he worked as a Warehouse Associate, while at Berger Brothers, he was a driver. Both companies used him in some capacity. Rickey resigned from his position as a housekeeper at the Veterans Hospital in the early 2000s. He had held that post from the early 1990s.

Rickey Wimbley outlived his brother Johnny Wimbley, who was also named Rickey Wimbley, by a short time. He is survived by his children Sonya Perkins, Rickey Jr., Kim Cowsette, and Freddie Hazzard, Jr.; siblings Olen Jr., Janice, and Michael Stokes; grandchildren Quincee Stokes, Alaina Stokes, and DAndrea Church; nephew Tobias Stokes; sister-in-law Beverly Stokes; and a lifelong list of friends.

He also leaves behind a list of friends who have been with him throughout his entire life. In addition, he leaves behind a list of people who were significant in his life and who were always close to him.
