Richard Sutherlin Obituary, Death – Richard Dale Sutherlin Jr., who was 71 years old when he passed away on March 21, 2023, did so peacefully in the presence of his loving family in the home he had cherished in Three Rivers. Born in Greencastle, Indiana on February 13, 1952, he is the son of Richard Sutherlin Sr. and Evelyn Cornelia (McBride) Sutherlin.

His birthday is February 13. McBride was his mother’s maiden name before he was born. Rick was employed by P&P Transportation, where he worked as a dispatcher. His employer was P&P Transportation. He had a special fondness for his grandchildren as well as the Kansas City Royals, and he enjoyed going to different ballparks. Rick was active in the community and was a coach for Little League in addition to being a member of the Three Rivers Mt. Hermon Masonic Lodge #24, the Three Rivers Community Players, the Three Rivers Band Boosters, and Phil Gamma Delta.

He was active in the Three Rivers community and belonged to the First United Methodist Church. His wife, Mercy Balogo Sutherlin, his son, Richard (Erica) Sutherlin III of Three Rivers, and his daughter, Katarina Sutherlin of Three Rivers, as well as his grandchildren Mackenzia Sutherlin, Helene Elise Sutherlin, Ricky Sutherlin IV, Caleb Johnson, Ezekiel Dunifin, Julian Sutherlin, and Noah Dunifin, and his Sharon Ellis, his sister, passed away before him. She was his immediate predecessor.
