Michael Ushkurnis Obituary, Death – Michael Peter Ushkurnis, age 70, fought valiantly against Guillain-Barre Syndrome until the day before his death, which occurred on Saturday, March 18, 2023. He passed away the next day. Michael had been putting up a fight against this illness for a very long time. Michael Ushkurnis was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on April 28, 1952.
His parents, Edward P. and Mary R. (Cronin) Ushkurnis, were no longer together at the time of Michael’s birth; they had both moved away before his birth. Edward P. Ushkurnis and Mary R. (Cronin) Ushkurnis were hitched and started a family. Both of his sisters, Mary Ann Mercier and Ann Marie DiGregorio, passed away before he did. They were both snatched from this world too soon.
His older sister, Mary Ann, was also the eldest child in the family. His high school education was completed at St. Peter’s High School in Worcester, from which he graduated with the class of 1970. St. Peter’s High School can be found in the city of Worcester. The three years that he served his nation in the United States Marine Corps were ones that he would always look back on with a sense of pride and appreciation for the chance.
Following that, he resumed his job with Air Conditioning Supplies in Worcester, where he remained for the next 35 years of his life. After that, he moved to another city. The activities of going out on deer hunts and fishing for marlin in the ocean were Michael’s two favorite ways to spend his free time, just behind spending time with his beloved family and their beloved dog, Star. Michael appreciated the time he got to spend with their dog as well.
Michael will be fondly remembered by his brother, James Ushkurnis, and his wife, Barbara, who reside in Paxton; his nephews, Derek Ushkurnis of New Braintree, Michael DiGregorio of Holden, and Daniel DiGregorio and his wife, Karen, who also reside in Holden; and his brother-in-law, Leo DiGregorio, who also resides in Holden. Leo DiGregorio is also a resident of Holden.
