Marie Stephenson Obituary, Death – Marie was born in 1929, and she was preceded in death by both of her parents, all of her siblings, and Ken Stephenson, the devoted spouse she had for 65 years. Marie is survived by her three daughters: Faye (Harvey) Sterling of Peachland, British Columbia; Diane (Dan) Clarke of Duncan, British Columbia; and Della (Ron) Swartz of Fairview, Alberta. Her grandkids Sandra Rosenberg (Mitch) of Victoria, British Columbia, Kathryn (Len) Sudlow of Sooke, British Columbia, Joann Hegland (and her loving partner Steve Thomas) of Kelowna, British Columbia, Michael Swartz (Kate) of Calgary, Alberta, Bob Swartz (Lindsay) of Peace River, Alberta, and Amanda Dietz (Colby) of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Her great-grandchildren Bianca, Maya, and Chloe Swartz, Ben and Jacob Swartz, and Harper and Tatum Dietz. Her great-great-grandchildren Sara Hoffman and Alison Sudlow.

The anguish and agony came to an end on February 2nd, when Marie lost her fight against inflammatory breast cancer. All of Marie’s fans will mourn her passing in their own unique ways. We are able to sleep soundly at night, secure in the knowledge that she is no longer suffering and has finally found peace. Marie is once again cradled in the arms of her adoring husband in a setting that is breathtaking and peaceful.

On Thursday, February 7, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., anybody whose life Marie’s has impacted, including friends, family, and others, is invited to come celebrate her life, reminisce, and honor her memory at the Snodgrass funeral home in High River.
