Linda McDaniel Obituary, Death – Linda J. (Schonborg) McDaniel died away on March 12, 2023 as a consequence of an unexpected series of circumstances that culminated in her passing. These events contributed to her demise. She had lived in Normal, Illinois for many years before moving to Mount Dora, Florida, where she was now residing. She was 74 years old at the time. From the time she entered Shrewsbury High School as a freshman until the year 1966, when she received her diploma, she was a student there.

She was a student at Shrewsbury High School and was born on March 16, 1948 in the town of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, where she also received her education. She had served in the United States Air Force between the years of 1968 and 1972, and at the conclusion of her time in that branch of the armed services, she was given the distinction of being discharged with merit.

She was given the names Elizabeth (Patterson) and George Schonborg, both of whom were the parents of her father, as a tribute to both sets of grandparents. Elizabeth Patterson and George Schonborg were her maternal grandparents. She was an only child. At Andalusa, Alabama, on the 20th of May in 1970, she tied the knot with Michael McDaniel. There, the ceremony was really carried out. At that era, the rite was performed in the appropriate manner.

Linda is survived by her husband of 52 years, Michael; her daughter, Jill (JT) Thomas of Shrewsbury; her son/grandson Christopher McDaniel of Mount Dora, FL.; her granddaughters, Ava and Anna Thomas; her siblings David (Sherry) Schonborg, Lee (Charron) Schonborg, Elizabeth (Paul) Etre, and Doug Ostlund; her brother-in-law David (Debbie) McDaniel, and her sisters-in JoAnn Sullivan, who is married to Greg, and Terri McDaniel, in addition to a large number of nieces and nephews.

Her family members that before her in death include her parents, her son Brian McDaniel, her sister Rebecca Ostlund, and her brother-in-law William McDaniel. Her sister Rebecca Ostlund and her brother-in-law William McDaniel were her parents’ children. She was the only surviving member of her direct family at the time of her passing, and she was the only one who had made it to that point. She has vivid recollections of the time she and her family spent on vacation in Cape Cod and Navarre Beach, Florida; the activities she participated in during those trips have permanently etched themselves into her psyche.
