His parents, Kenneth Yost and Dorothy Heckert Yost, had already passed away when he was still a child. There were those who came before him. His wife, Patricia Buckles Yost; his stepdaughters Elizabeth Yost of Fort Worth, Texas and Julia Yost (Matthew Schmitz) of New York, New York; his children Debra Datta (Chris) of Washington, DC, Heather Algiere (Patrick) of Crofton, Maryland, and Kenneth John Yost (Susie) of Frederick, Maryland; his brother William Yost (Susanne) of Greenwood, Indiana; and his grandchildren In addition, he leaves behind his eight great grandkids who will carry on his legacy.

On Saturday, March 25th, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, there will be a visitation conducted in the Holy Shepherd Catholic Church (867 Grays Woods Blvd, Port Matilda, PA 16801). A funeral liturgy will be held in honor of the individual who passed away on the Saturday, March 25th, 2023, at 3:00 PM and at 3:00 PM respectively. On Saturday, March 25th, 2023, the funeral and burial will take place in the Pine Hall Cemetery in Pine Hall, Florida. State College, Pennsylvania 16801, 1705 W College Avenue.
