Kathleen Aldrich Obituary Annapolis, MD, Kathleen Aldrich Funeral Notice

Kathleen Aldrich Obituary, Death – After a very brief battle with sickness, Kathleen A. Aldrich, age 91, of Annapolis, Maryland (previously of Hernando, Florida and Brewster, Massachusetts), died away on December 22, 2022. She was born on April 27, 1931 in Northbridge, Massachusetts to parents named John Leonard and Katherine (Reynolds) Leonard. She spent much of her childhood in the nearby town of Whitinsville, Massachusetts.

Kathleen spent her college years at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island; the city of Newport, as well as the university, have remained very important to her throughout her life. When Kathleen graduated from high school in 1952, she immediately began her career as a teacher at Plummer Elementary School in Northridge. Kathleen fell in love with Robert J. Aldrich, a Northbridge teacher from Milford, Massachusetts, and they got married in 1959.

Robert was also a teacher at Northbridge. Kathleen gave up her full-time teaching position in order to focus on having children and caring for her family. Kathleen did continue to be involved in education by working as a substitute teacher and, subsequently, as a volunteer in the libraries of Holliston High School, which is located in Holliston, Massachusetts, as well as Nauset Regional Middle School, which is located on Cape Cod.

For Robert, Kathleen, and the rest of their family, Cape Cod will always hold a very special place in their hearts. Kathleen particularly cherished the fact that they lived in Brewster, Massachusetts’s Pilgrim Pines area and that she was able to gaze upon the splendor of Cape Cod Bay on a daily basis. Robert and Kathleen loved the beautiful weather in Hernando, Florida, for 18 years until moving away in the year 2002.

Jessica Aldrich Franklin, Eric Aldrich and his wife James Pearse, and Katherine, who is survived by her husband, Colonel Kevin Wild, USMC (Ret), as well as three grandkids, are Kathleen’s children. Katherine is also survived by her husband. The death of her spouse Robert occurred in October in the year 2020. On April 29, 2023, visiting hours will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the

Buma Funeral Home, which is located at 480 Church St. in Whitinsville, Massachusetts. This will be followed by a funeral service at 11 AM, which will take place at St. Patrick’s Church, which is located at 1 Cross St. in Whitinsville. Interment will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, located near Northbridge at the intersection of Providence Road and Route 122.
