John Homan Death, Obituary – John Homan, Elkhart Indiana, Northridge Middle School Teacher has passed away by suicide on March 23, 2023 leaving friends, loved ones, family and the entire community heartbroken and in grievance, according to a social media sharing. ”Middlebury Community Schools, which can be thought of as a family, is currently struggling through a challenging situation. The body of John Homan, a member of our classified staff, was found in the north parking lot close to Northridge Middle School.

He had been there for some time. It was determined that the person had taken their own life before passing away. During the entirety of the event, none of the children were ever placed in any kind of perilous situation, and they were never in any kind of danger at any moment. On the other hand, the campus was put under lockdown for some time until the authorities determined that it was safe to lift the limitations and lift the lockdown.

We have decided not to offer any further commentary at this time out of respect for the family and because we do not intend to invade their privacy in any way. The following week, in the event that further counseling is required or requested, we will have more counselors available on campus to engage in dialogue with employees and students. These counselors will be available to talk to whoever needs assistance.

During this trying time, we are asking everyone in the MCS family and community to support one another by lending a helping hand and offering words of encouragement.
