Joelle Keili Obituary, Death – After a courageous battle with illness, Joelle Marie (Ditzhazy) Oberski, 50, died in Waterville, Ohio, on March 12, 2018. Waterville, Ohio, is her birthplace. She was a Ditzhazy, meaning she was a family member. Over 24 years, she and Matthew loved and cared for their children Kaitlyn, Jacob, Emily, and Henry, making sure they had all they needed. Lansing, Michigan’s Joelle was born on December 21, 1967.
She was born to grandparents Joseph and Janet Ditzhazy. Her father named her. Delta Zeta member Joelle earned her bachelor’s degree from Michigan Technological University. Lansing Catholic Central High School was her high school and master’s school. She met Matthew, her future husband, then. Joelle, a medical technician, looked forward to every chance to work in the lab.
She became a stay-at-home mom after having children. She volunteered for St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Cub Scouts, the Girl Scouts, and St. Francis High School to help establish their young programs after their births. She aided her with childrearing. She treasured family time. She loved traveling to the family cottage to fish, swim, and make crafts, but sitting around the campfire was her favorite activity.
She also saw her family. Summer was best at the cottage with her family. Joelle loved exploring new places and felt comfortable in both urban and rural settings. She loved her children and husband endlessly, so she made every event special for them. She exceeded expectations. She did this by exceeding expectations. Her lovely, compassionate smile drew everyone in. Her charisma attracted everyone she met. Joelle’s spouse Matthew, children Kaitlyn, Jacob, Emily, and Henry, and son-in-law Matthew will continue her legacy.
Matthew continues Joelle’s legacy. She is survived by two of her siblings, Jeanne Brondi and Jennifer (Anthony) Greenburg, her parents, Joseph and Janet Ditzhazy, of Lansing, and her mother and father-in-law, Dan and Rosemary Oberski, of Shelby Township, Michigan. Her surviving siblings are Jeanne Brondi and Jennifer (Anthony) Greenburg. She is close to many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Her parents and spouse are from Michigan. Her parents and in-laws live in Lansing.
