In a statement sent on behalf of Taylor’s family, funeral director Richard Duggar II said, “We can confirm that Joel Taylor has died away while on a vacation.” “The reason for the person’s passing has not been identified at this time.

Taylor’s first appearance on the reality show was in 2008, and she remained a cast member until the show was canceled in 2012. While there, he collaborated with his buddy Reed Timmer on the documentary “Tornado Glory,” which was released in 2003.
Timmer paid tribute to his buddy on Tuesday by posting an obituary on Twitter, in which he said, “RIP to my best friend and storm chasing companion, Joel Taylor.” According to what he wrote, “I am surprised and profoundly grieved by the passing of my amazing, kind buddy.” “We pursued such a wide variety of severe storms, and I really wish there was just one more opportunity for us to do so. I’ll miss you forever, Joel.” Timmer continued by saying, “We lost a legend.”
Joel Taylor was my best buddy and my storm-chasing companion. May he rest in peace. The passing of my wonderful and kind buddy has left me reeling in disbelief and utter devastation. After chasing after a large number of powerful storms, I really hope we could go on just one more storm chase.
