Jim Williams Obituary, Death – We are devastated to inform you of the demise of Jim Williams, who served for a very long time as the General Manager of The Duck Shop. Please accept our sincere condolences. The news of Jim’s passing has left all of us here at The Duck Store in a state of disbelief. Jim worked as the manager of the University of Oregon Bookstore for the preceding 36 years before taking his retirement in 2012.

bookstore would later be renamed The Duck Store following Jim’s tenure there. Despite the fact that he is now retired, the legacy of selfless dedication that he has left behind continues to inspire us. Several people at the University of Oregon have fond recollections of him as a teacher, a friend, and a steadfast advocate for all of the students at the university.

He was a fierce champion for all of the students. “It feels more like a spiritual calling than anything else that I could possibly envision doing with the rest of my life at this time. I don’t know what else I could do with the rest of my life. Being a member of the Duck family is something of which I am exceptionally proud. I experience a great sense of connection with each and every one of the customers that I assist.”
