Jerry Bickel Obituary, Death – The staff at Frankenstein Engine Dynamics was stunned and saddened to learn of the demise of famed race car builder Jerry Bickel. Jerry Bickel was known for his work on race cars. In the world of auto racing, Bickel was a true legend, and the significance of the many successes he achieved in the sport simply cannot be overstated. Over the course of more than four decades, a large number of drag racers have come to rely on Jerry Bickel Race Cars to provide them with some of the best chassis and materials that are now on the market. Bickel was not only an innovator in terms of performance, but he was also an innovator in terms of safety.

He was a pioneer in both of these areas. He made important contributions to the growth of doorslammer drag racing and played an important role in developing the sport into what it is today. He had a huge influence on a number of other categories of drag racing, such as Pro Stock, Pro Mod, Top Sportsman, and a great deal of others.

Because of the innovative nature of his designs, the excellent craftsmanship of his work, and the unparalleled attention to detail that he displayed, Bickel was able to achieve a tremendous number of victories, championships, and world records. His most notable accomplishment was building the chassis for the McDonald’s Pro Stock car that was driven by Jim Yates, for whom he worked as a crew chief during the years that Yates won championships. His name is still used today, as seen by the fact that NHRA Pro Mod World Champion Jose Gonzalez bears it, in addition to the fact that his name is used by hundreds of other drivers.
During this difficult time, everyone here at Frankenstein Engine Dynamics would like to offer their deepest condolences to Jerry’s family and friends. We are really sorry for the loss that you have suffered. The racing community will remember his achievements for many years to come due to all that he has accomplished in the sport.
