Jean Sitko Obituary, Death – Jean A. Sitko, who resided in West Mifflin and passed away on March 23, 2023 at the age of 82, did so in a calm and tranquil manner. She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas George Sitko, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. She was also the doting mother of Deborah Ann Sitko and Michael Thomas Sitko. She was the daughter of the late William Nemeth and Elizabeth (Kosko) Marshall.
She was the sister of the late William R. Nemeth and Lillian Vasko. She was also the aunt of Keith Jenkins and Allison Koehler. She passed away on January 15, 2019. The 15th of January 2019 was the day she passed away. Another person who will miss her greatly is Maureen Succop, who has been her faithful companion and best friend for the past 71 years.
Jean’s regular place of worship was the Holy Spirit Church of the Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish in West Mifflin, which was also one of the congregations that she attended. She retired from TJ Maxx after serving there for sixteen years and then went on to work for Gee Bees and Montgomery Wards after that. One of her favorite things to do was stroll around South Park while listening to her cassettes and CDs.
This was one of her favorite places. In addition to that, she enjoyed dancing to polka bands, some of which her late husband, Tom, had played in before he passed away. On Monday, March 27, the family will receive friends and family at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., located at 3501 Main Street in Munhall, Pennsylvania 15120.
The visitation will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In Jefferson Hills, at the Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, the church of St. Thomas à Becket, where the funeral mass will be held, will be open to the public. After the funeral service, the burial will take place at the Saint Nicholas Byzantine Cemetery located in North Versailles.
