Eugene Prins Obituary, Death – Eugene Prins has passed away unexpectedly. Eugene Prins, who was missing from Woonsocket, South Dakota, has been found. My deepest sympathies go out to the family. In the early morning hours of March 26, 2020, Eugene Prins was reported missing from the rural area of Sanborn County. On the next day, which was Friday, March 27, 2020, his disappearance was reported to the authorities. On August 30, 2022, human skeleton remains were discovered, and it was assumed that they belonged to him.

This morning, we were informed that the findings of DNA testing demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt that the skeletal bones belonged to Eugene Prins. For this particular incident, there is no evidence to suggest that any illegal action took place. After a three-year investigation, the authorities have come to the conclusion that Mr. Prins, who was 45 years old at the time of his disappearance, was with a close friend on the evening that he vanished.

After completing their tasks, the two of them drank wine together. Later on in the evening, a friend of Mr. Prins’s pulled up to a house in the countryside of Woonsocket and went inside. It was alleged that Mr. Prins remained in the vehicle and fell asleep there. The evidence suggests that Mr. Prins exited the vehicle at some point in time and proceeded to walk southward along the gravel road leading away from this property.

On March 26, 2020, the weather in the region was bitterly cold and drenched with heavy precipitation. Mr. Prins exited the street after being observed by witnesses who were traveling in a car heading north while he was strolling down the road. In August of 2022, skeletal remains were discovered in a location that was approximately one mile and a half west of where the evidence indicates Mr. Prins was last known to be on the night of his disappearance.

The remains were proven to have been human by anthropology. After further investigation, forensic testing established that the items in question are, in fact, Mr. Prins’s skeletal remains.
