Esther Luther Obituary, Death – Esther Schumann Luther, a resident of 161 Luther Hill Road in Acworth, New Hampshire, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Springfield Hospital in Springfield, Vermont. She was reunited with her loving Lord. 93 years of age in total. Charlestown, New Hampshire was the location of her birth on February 3, 1930. Her parents were Felix G. Schumann and Elizabeth (Hahn) Schumann. Esther attended Charlestown High School for a total of four years before receiving her diploma in 1948. When some time had passed, a young Acworth dairy farmer by the name of Earl F. Luther, Jr. became interested in her.
On October 18th, 1957, they went ahead and exchanged their vows. On their dairy farm, Esther helped herd cows and drive the tractor while also caring for their three children, Laurie, John, and Tom. The farm was a family business. Esther was extremely proud of her background as a farm girl, farm wife, and farm mother. Griselda Luther-Houghton, Karyn E. Luther, and Maria Luther-Houghton are Esther’s grandchildren. Karyn E. Luther is from Acworth, and Maria and Griselda both live in Keene (Acworth). Both John W. and Robin Luther, as well as Thomas E. and Linda Luther, have made Acworth their permanent home. In addition to this, she has a number of nieces and nephews who will miss having her around.
Earl, her partner of many years, passed away in the year 2006. For the professionalism, dedication, compassion, and love shown not only to Esther but to the entire family during Esther’s illness and passing, the family would like to express its deepest gratitude to the extraordinary staff of Springfield Hospital. This includes the emergency department, the radiology department, and the in-patient care unit. The family would like to express its gratitude to all of these departments. There will not be a predetermined starting time for the event.
There will be a memorial service conducted in her honor at Church-on-the-Hill in Acworth, Georgia at 1:00 PM on May 13, 2023. A private burial service will be held in Acworth on May 13, 2023 at noon, and only immediate family members will be asked to attend. The Fenton and Hennessy Funeral Home in Bellows Falls, Vermont is in charge of the preparations at this time.
