Eric Brown Obituary, Death – Eric Brown was born on September 17, 1971, to Roland Brown Sr., who passed away, and Edwin Brown, who also passed away. On Monday, January 16, 2023, when he was 51 years old, he passed away and went to an eternal resting place. The members of Mr. Brown’s family and his closest friends and acquaintances fondly referred to him as “Rickey.” He was born and raised in New Orleans, and he remained there until the day he passed away. Eric had graduated from Marion Abramson Senior High School and was working in the hospitality and tourism industry at the time of his passing. The Court of Two Sisters Restaurant, CafĂ© Du Monde, The Fairmont Hotel, Hilton Garden, and Harrah’s Casino were among the establishments where he has worked in the past.
His genuine calling was to play the organ for worship services at a number of churches in the area. Loving brother of Eugenia M. Brown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Gertrude R. Moses (Tommie) of Stone Mountain, Georgia; Lewis R. Brown (Shamaria) of Maryland, Virginia; and Roland Brown, Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana; all of whom reside in Louisiana. Latonya Darensbourg (Malcolm) of Laplace, Louisiana, Shemeka Gunn of Fort Worth, Texas, Quiana Brown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jamaal Gunn (Scherrie) of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jawaan Gunn of Louisiana, Quincy Brown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Kayla Brown of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Khaliey and Chance Brown of New Orleans, Louisiana all consider him an uncle and a father figure. In addition to them, he is survived by a large number of other relatives and acquaintances, including twelve great nieces and nephews. The funeral is open to everyone who knew the deceased, including friends and family, past employers and coworkers, and the Orleans Parish Sheriff Office. Greater Mt. Carmel Missionary Church will have a Celebration Service to celebrate the life of the late Eric “Rickey” Brown on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 11 am. Pastor D.R.
