Edward Davies Obituary, Death – On March 22nd, 2023, our chairman, Commander Edward Davies, a veteran of the Royal Navy who served for many years, passed away. We would like to take advantage of this opportunity to inform our members and the broader public in general that he has passed away, so thank you for providing us with this opportunity.
We are filled with a tremendous sense of shame when we seize this opportunity to do so; nonetheless, we are unable to pass it up.
Mr. Davies was a pleasant and approachable person who was in charge of the local chapter of the Red Cross in Gibraltar for a lot of years. His tenure in that role spanned a number of decades. He served in this capacity for a considerable amount of time over the course of his career. The considerateness and generosity that was shown to us has been integrated into the volunteer work that we have been carrying out and will continue to carry out in the foreseeable future.
Everyone who is a part of the committee, including the employees and the volunteers, will miss him very much and feel the void he leaves behind. It would not have been possible to run the business without his contribution. During this trying time, we want his wife Christine, his children, and the rest of his family to know that we are thinking of them and offering our deepest condolences. We also want them to know that we are extending our deepest sympathies to them.
