Donald Brasher Obituary, Death, Donald Brasher Has Passed Away

Donald Brasher Obituary, Death – Funeral services for Donald Brasher, who was 78 years old and lived in Roganville, will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper. The interment will take place in Friendship Cemetery after the funeral services. The funeral home will be open for visitors on Thursday, October 16, 2014, from five in the afternoon until eight in the evening.

Donald passed away at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont on the 13th of October, 2014. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going hunting and fishing, and generally having a good time. He was skilled in a number of different trades. He spent a considerable chunk of his life in Diboll after having spent his formative years in Roganville, but after reaching retirement age, he moved back to his home in the Roganville neighborhood. He attended services at the Jasper County Cowboy Church, which he was a member of.

Four sons, Gary Brasher & Robin, Tony Brasher, both of Jasper, Ricky Brasher & Debbie, and Steve Brasher & Mary, all of Lufkin; daughter Pamela Kay Toole of Livingston; two brothers, Butch Brasher & Barbara and Mike Brasher & Carol, both of Jasper; four sisters, Marie Robinson & Roy and Artie Faye Day, both of Roganville; Frances Jones & James of Jasper Mildred, his wife of 60 years, his parents Dascom and Oleta Brasher, his sister Doris Ella Brack, and his brother Charles Brasher all predeceased him.
