Dominick Signa Obituary, Death – Dominick “Doe” Emile Signa, Jr. December 12, 1952 – March 31, 2023, Dominick “Doe” Signa, Jr. will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Greenville, North Carolina on Monday, April 3, 2023 at noon. The funeral services will begin at that time. On Friday, March 31, 2023, John Doe passed away at his home in a quiet and serene manner, surrounded by his devoted family. after a protracted fight against the difficulties that diabetes brought.
The final resting place will be at Greenville Cemetery, and Boone Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements there. Doe wed his lifelong sweetheart, Barbara “Sug” Morris, who also happened to be his next-door neighbor, in the year 1977. Recently, the couple gathered all of their children and grandchildren together in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, to celebrate Doe’s 70th birthday as well as their 45th wedding anniversary. Doe is now 70 years old. Doe was one of the residents of Greenville who was held in the highest esteem by the community.
Along with their brother Charles, he ran the family business, which was a steakhouse called Doe’s Eat Place that was known all over the world. Over the years, the restaurant was honored with a number of accolades, including the highly coveted James Beard Award in 2007. This honor was bestowed upon the recipient at the prestigious Lincoln Center in New York City. During his acceptance speech, Doe made a witty remark about the restaurant by saying, “Yeah, we are a cardiologist’s dream.”
This was in response to a film that depicted the restaurant’s steaks. Greenville Honors is one more award that was given out. Doe devoted her entire life to serving others and was a devout member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church during her entire life. Today, he is allowed to eat at the table of heaven, where there is no more pain for him. On Monday, there will be a visitation beginning at 10:00 am in the church before the services begin. Instead of sending flowers, the family has asked that donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of a floral tribute.
