Denise Snyder Obituary, Death – After a valiant fight against cancer for six months, Denise A. Snyder, age 63, from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, died away peacefully at home on March 29, 2023. She was the daughter of George Snyder, who passed away, and Elizabeth Snyder, who also passed away. She was born in Worcester. She is survived by her devoted daughter Kara Schneider (Ronnie) and her grandson Jackson, who live in Glen Allen, Virginia; her siblings Linda Snyder of Holden and Philip Snyder (Susan) of Worcester;
Also, her nieces and nephews Tim Snyder (Rachael) of Nashville, Tennessee, Katherine Snyder of Millbury, and Laurie Fournier (Matt) of Charlton; as well as three great-nieces and one great-nephew. Her brother, George Snyder, passed away before she did, following in the footsteps of both of her parents. Denise worked for the state of Massachusetts as a child support enforcement officer beginning in 1982. She just just retired in the month of February.
She was a voracious consumer of coffee who “ran on Dunkin,” and she adored playing the lottery, especially scratch tickets, despite the fact that she was never very successful at it. Her nickname for Dunkin was “Dunkin Donuts.” Above all else, she will be remembered as a fiercely courageous role model to her daughter Kara, whom she adored spending time with, and as a loving grandmother to Jackson, the joy of her life.
Both of these roles will live on in her legacy. The funeral Mass for Denise will be held on Monday, April 3 at 11:00 AM at St. Anne’s Church, which is located in Shrewsbury at 10 Turnpike Road (Route 9 East). In the church, there will be a calling hour that will start at ten in the morning. After the mass, the burial will take place in St. John’s Cemetery, which can be found at 260 Cambridge Street in Worcester.
