Christopher Barton Death, Obituary – Christopher B. Barton, who was 24 years old and a resident of Groton, passed away on December 24th, 2015. Daniel J.’s son Christopher was the apple of his father’s eye. and Alisa B. (Bishop), who maintained a home in both Groton and Newburyport. On March 11th, 1991, Christopher was brought into this world. After spending his childhood in both Carlisle and Groton, he ultimately decided to pursue his high school education at Groton-Dunstable Regional High School and graduated with the class of 2009.
In addition, he graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology as well as majors in analytical chemistry and applied mathematics in 2014. He was a part of the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s Class of 2014 there. He graduated with the highest distinction possible, Summa Cum Laude.
Christopher’s employment required him to work as a research assistant at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and this is where he did his work. In the Channing Laboratory, he was participating in the continuing research on cancer, a topic with which he felt an intense emotional connection because of his own personal experience with the disease.
The coastlines of Long Island and Maine were two of his favorite places to visit, and he also liked to stroll around the city of Boston and the region surrounding Newburyport, which is where his family was based. It will be said of him that he was a kind and generous son, grandson, and friend who enjoyed being active, learning new things, cooking, listening to music, drinking coffee, spending time with friends and family, helping other people, and the significant work he did at the hospital. The people who knew him will carry his legacy forward in their hearts and minds.
He is survived by a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins in both the United States and Greece. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Dr. George and Nadine Bishop of Groton, who formerly resided in Carlisle. He also leaves behind a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins in Greece. His maternal grandparents, Dr. George and Nadine Bishop, were his maternal great-grandparents, while his paternal grandfather was Judge Robert A. Barton of Bedford. Before he was even born, his grandmother, Norma A. Barton, had already passed away.
His girlfriend, Vanessa Gauthier of Westford, together with his very close friends, cherished and loved Christopher very much. Christopher was also very important to them. Also, Christopher was cherished and liked by his group of close pals.
