Christine Desgroseilliers Obituary, Death – At the age of 26, Christine Anne Desgroseilliers departed suddenly in a terrible yet peaceful manner on March 22, 2023, following an automobile accident. She passed away in Kelowna General Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and charity, as her last gift was to donate her organs and help save the lives of six other people.
Christine Desgroseilliers was the cherished daughter of Andy Desgroseilliers and Anne Wightman, and Nathan Siydock was the doting partner of Christine. She was a loving sister of Daniel, who was known as “Addie,” Michelle, who was known as “Sylvia,” and Andrea, who was known as “Tom,” and she was a cherished granddaughter of Beryl Wightman (Frank). Her cherished nieces Mae and Etta, as well as her nephew Martin, and her cousins Brett, Nicole, Brooke, Pelly, Nora, and Claire, will all miss her dearly. She was a niece of Claire (Tino), Jane (Trevor), Peter (Wendy), and John, all of whom adored her very much (Sue).
Christine was noted for her contagious laughter, silly sense of humor, outgoing attitude, and wanderlust. She was also a gorgeous woman. She would give everyone the widest smile possible while pointing out the wonder and beauty in the world around her for them to witness. The heavenly voice of Christine McVie brought beauty into the earth, and it continues to ring out in the heavens, communicating her love to God. Christine was constantly aware that Jesus was at her side on her journey through life and that she should see it as an adventure and a gift from God to be cherished.
Throughout her time at InterVarsity UOttawa, Camp IAWAH, and Pacific Pioneer Camp, Christine’s faith and character developed significantly alongside those of her companions. When Christine was an adult, she discovered that one of the greatest sources of joy for her was venturing out into the wilderness all across Canada, seeking out new adventures, and living life to the fullest as an aspiring world traveler with any friend or family member who was willing to share the experience with her.
Throughout her professional life, Christine worked as a caring and devoted emergency room nurse at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus, as well as a travel nurse in the northern region of British Columbia. Everyone that she worked with or cared for was aware of her unwavering dedication to assisting people in need. Her infectious smile and upbeat aura left an impression on everyone she encountered along the road.
At this incomprehensibly trying time, Lindsey, her nurse in the intensive care unit at Kelowna General Hospital, has been an incredible source of compassion and support for our family, and we would like to express our deepest thanks to her. On the Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 12:30 p.m., there will be a celebration of Christine’s life conducted in her honor. at Arlington Woods Church, which can be found in Nepean, Ontario, at 225 McClellan Road. After the service, there will be a time of fellowship and refreshments in the Evergreen Hall of the church.
