Chester Fulone Obituary, Death – Chester After a brief illness, Robert Fulone, “Chet,” died at home on April 4, 2023. He was happily married to Shirley (Hippert) Fulone for 66 years. John and Josephine (Yacino) Fulone gave birth to Chet in Whitinsville, MA on November 23, 1934. East Douglas, MA was his hometown and secondary school. Chet graduated from Worcester’s College of the Holy Cross with a BA.
After graduation, Chet became a merchandise manager for Filene’s and Marshall’s/TJX. After growing up in East Douglas, Chet and Shirley started dating in high school. Chet married Shirley, his soulmate, and they raised their five children in East Douglas and Natick, MA. In 1990, they retired to “The Beach House” in Falmouth. Chet was devoted to St. Elizabeth Seton Church in North Falmouth, his native church.
He was a prominent altar server to the end of his life. He received the Marian Medal for his devotion to the Church. Chet participated in his community wherever he resided. He was Falmouth Rotary Club President and East Douglas School Committee Chair. Chet loved sports! He loved the 2004 Red Sox World Series win. Chet loved sports. He enjoyed Cape Cod Baseball League games with family and friends in the summer.
Chet sung the National Anthem for the Falmouth Commodores. He liked golfing and playing bocce on the beach with his kids and grandchildren. He adored dogsābig and tiny. All who knew Chet will miss his love as a husband, father, Bumpa, and friend. Chet is survived by his loving wife Shirley; his devoted sons Craig Fulone and his wife Linda, Mark Fulone, John Fulone and his wife Sharon, and Paul Fulone and his wife Susan; his beloved grandchildren Matthew and Nicholas Fulone, Justin and Michael Fulone, Melody, Olivia, Paul, and Wynne Fulone; and his great grandchildren Meredith, Emma, and Noah.
Lisa Mae Fulone, Lauren Fulone, and Rowan Joseph Fulone died before Chet. Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 584 W. Falmouth Hwy. (Route 28A), West Falmouth, will have a viewing on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Rd., North Falmouth, will have a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. On April 12, 2023, at 3:00 PM, St. Patrick Cemetery, 180 Pond St., Natick, MA, will bury him.
