Carl Lucero Obituary, Death – This information is being disseminated for the benefit of those of us who knew him from school but may not have kept in contact with him or were unaware of his passing away. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Karen, who graduated in 1986, and their son, Evan.

While the news of Carl Lucero’s passing is being disseminated, we would like to take this opportunity to offer our most sincere sympathies to his family and friends. On February 24, 2023, when he was 53 years old, Carl Lucero passed away peacefully in his sleep. Carl was a fantastic parent, husband, and son who was committed to
his family and always put their needs before his own. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Carl Lucero was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1969 to parents Carl Lucero Sr. and Yvonne Baca, both of whom are still living at this time. Carl Lucero was named after his grandfather. Carl has no siblings or other children.
The family had two children, and he was the youngest of the two. Carl’s love for Tejano music was the impetus behind his decision to pursue a career in the music industry, where he has worn many hats, including those of drummer, audio engineer, and composer. Carl’s passion for Tejano music was the driving force behind his decision to pursue a career in the music industry.
He encouraged a spirit of creativity and originality in others through the medium of music. Carl’s career spanned over 40 years, during which he recorded and played in a broad variety of venues, including New Mexican music as well as other forms. During this time, he also performed in a number of other settings. Carl’s wife Karen,
who he had been married to for 34 years, and their only son Evan will suffer a great deal from their loss. Carl and Karen had been married for a total of 34 years. Those individuals who had the privilege of knowing Carl and being influenced by his music will forever carry his legacy of music with them in their hearts. I say a prayer that he is at peace for all of eternity.
