Bernard de Launoit Obituary, Founder Of The Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel Has Died

Bernard de Launoit Obituary, Death – The Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel is filled with unfathomable grief after learning of the passing of Bernard de Launoit, who served as both CEO and Executive President of the organization. On March 23, 2019, Bernard passed away after a prolonged battle with a disease that he had fought with all of his strength for the prior half year.

He had been battling this illness for many years. At the time of his passing, he was encircled by members of his family and other people he held dear. A bout of exceptionally high-quality performance. A dynamic and invigorating leader with a sharp mind who was always looking for new projects and who worked till the very end for our institution has passed away. The Music Chapel has suffered this loss. We will remember him as someone who had enthusiasm for life and enjoyed it to the fullest.

A profound longing for art in all of its guises, as well as an unending affection for art music, is possessed by the individual. He was in charge of the Music Chapel for close to twenty years and during that time he made it shine throughout the world, always striving for greater grandeur. Everyone associated with the Music Chapel, including the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, the Masters in Residence, and the rest of the staff, is deeply saddened by this loss. Our prayers are with Bernard’s wife, children, and all of his family, friends, and relatives. We are going to miss seeing his confident stride, his smile, and his silhouette. The continuation of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel will be overseen and managed by the Executive Committee.
